The wine Privat has a yellow-green colour. It has an aromatic smell of ripe tropical fruit and spring field flowers. In the mouth the wine is creamy, dry, with appropriate acidity; the flavours are the same as sensed by smell. The vine is of a medium-strong character with medium-long after taste.

Varieties: Sauvignon vert, Rebula, Pikolit

Geographical origin: The winegrowing district of Goriška brda is characterised by a hilly relief and a mild sub-Mediterranean climate.

Type of soil: The soil consists of marl and sandstone.

Vineyards: The wine Privat comes from the oldest vineyards which is inherited after the fathers. The grape vines are between 30 and 42 years old. Our father takes special care of this vineyard and produces wine for himself and his friends. A limited quantity of this wine is intended for lovers of special wines.

Total acid: 5.2g/L


Harvesting: The grapes are picked by hand twice, namely in the first half of September and later in the first half of October.

Vinification: The grapes are partly macerated at room temperature to trigger natural fermentation; the rest of the grapes are macerated in a cold place. When natural fermentation is triggered, the grapes are pressed. Alcohol fermentation is managed at low temperatures in containers of stainless steel. The wine is matured with yeast. The wines made of first and second harvesting are joined immediately after fermentation, and then the wine is also bottled.
